  1. Soviet Block II
  2.  
  3. Head-To-Head-Tris is a two player game 
  4. of skill and strategy. The game is played 
  5. in rounds. Each round, the players drop 
  6. pieces from both ends of a sideways pit.  
  7. The pieces move towards a middle bar,
  8. where they stop falling and a new piece 
  9. tumbles in.  
  10.  
  11. Eventually, the pieces form complete 
  12. vertical columns. These vertical columns, 
  13. when filled, will disappear, moving the 
  14. blocks on that side of the pit towards the 
  15. middle. This gives greater maneuver-
  16. ability at the top of the playing field. You 
  17. have the ability to maneuver pieces by 
  18. rotating them and moving them left and 
  19. right.
  20.  
  21. After you clear several vertical columns, 
  22. the game adds a twist. There is a middle 
  23. bar that will move left or right. If you are 
  24. the player on the left, the bar will move 
  25. right, and all the blocks will move along 
  26. with it. This has the effect of giving the 
  27. player on the left more space to maneuver.  
  28. As well, it gives the player on the right 
  29. less space.

  31. The round ends when the middle bar 
  32. reaches one of the two goal lines, indicated 
  33. by the two upper arrows and two lower 
  34. arrows. Like a tug-of-war, if you push the 
  35. middle bar to the opponent's goal line, you 
  36. win the round. The game then continues 
  37. with another round - a clear pit with faster 
  38. pieces, and farther goal lines.

  40. A player loses the game when his portion 
  41. of the pit is filled to the top.
